Background

There seems to be renewed commitment to child rights, technically all the states have adopted the Child Rights Act in Nigeria. However, yawning gaps are visible. Whilst some states have made certain progress, much remains to be done in many states. Both in the regional and international space, there are continuous developments, and lessons can be shared as well as learning for a sustainable world.

Voice of the Law Child Law Centre intends to conduct research that would produce evidence that should guide laws, policies, and interventions for children. It will, where necessary, embark on strategic litigation to further widen the rights of children. The Centre would engage in robust advocacy with stakeholders to influence the promotion and protection of children’s rights. There will be continuous training to build capacity and develop expertise on matters affecting children.
